Coast Academy Silverdale – Kids & Adult Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Kickboxing
Coast Academy Silverdale is the premier martial arts club on the Hibiscus Coast.
We’ve been training the local community for over 10 years, offering Jiu Jitsu classes for children from age 4 through to adults, plus MMA, Kickboxing, and Wrestling programs. Training is available for all levels.
Professor Matt O’Dea
You’ll often see Matt moving between Albany, Silverdale and Warkworth locations. He plays an active role in grading both kids and adults, and also teaches MMA and kickboxing at the Silverdale and Warkworth gyms.
Professor Jaden O’Dea
Jaden has been actively training in martial arts since the age of five and brings a strong understanding of how students of all ages learn. Jaden is an active competitor in the MMA scene and serves as one of the head coaches of the ALTA program.
Mini Martials Jiu Jitsu
Mini Martials classes are the perfect introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu learning the basics of BJJ alongside fun games and drills to help build confidence, strength and coordination. 40min classes for ages 4-6 years.

Coast Academy T-shirt / Rash Guard, Shorts / Black Leggings, Coast Academy Gi (Kimono) Belt for grading.
Adult Jiu Jitsu All Levels
For adults (16+) starting or returning to Jiu-Jitsu. These classes focus on fundamentals and core techniques of BJJ, with a structured format that includes a warm-up, a technique lesson, and partner drilling to practice what you’ve learned.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Rash Guard, Shorts / Black Leggings, Gi Uniform, BJJ Belt.
MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport combining Boxing, Kick Boxing and Jiu Jitsu. Members looking to improve their BJJ game, would also benefit from this class. A minimum of MMA technical classes are required before you can attend the sparring classes.

Wrestling
Our Adult Wrestling classes are designed for all levels — from beginners to experienced grapplers. Wrestling is one of the most effective ways to improve your takedowns, control, balance and transitions, making it an essential skill for anyone training Jiu Jitsu or MMA.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Club Rashie, Shorts / Black Leggings, Mouth Guard.
Junior & Youth Jiu Jitsu
Kids Jiu Jitsu classes are from age 6-16 years. Students learn the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu while developing physical skills, mental focus and self-confidence, alongside valuable life skills that can benefit them both on and off the mat.

Adult Jiu Jitsu Advanced
This class is designed for students who have already built a solid foundation in BJJ and are ready to progress their skills. Training focuses on higher-level techniques, strategic concepts, and more dynamic rolling.

Rash Guard, Shorts / Black Leggings and mouthguard.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports and a form of boxing based on kicking and punching. The Kickboxing technical classes are designed to teach you the fundamental kickboxing techniques. There is a minimum amount of technical classes required before you can attend the sparring classes.

ALTA MMA
The ALTA Program is a 20-week transformative MMA journey designed to challenge you physically and mentally — no matter your previous experience in martial arts. You’ll develop skills, fitness, and confidence, culminating in the ultimate test: stepping into the cage for your amateur MMA fight.

ALTA provides you with $429 worth of gear.
