Professor Dino

Dino is the proud owner of Coast Academy Wellsford. His passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu began in 2016, when he started a journey that would not only transform his own life, but spark a mission to share Jiu Jitsu with others.

Beginning with kids’ classes, Dino found deep fulfilment in teaching the next generation. Watching students grow in both skill and character strengthened his commitment to expanding the academy. For Dino, this was never just about business — it was about building a family united through Jiu Jitsu.

Recently, Mikey has stepped into the role of Head Coach at Coast Academy Wellsford, while Dino is currently pursuing new opportunities and continuing his career journey in Brisbane Australia.

Junior & Youth Jiu Jitsu

Kids Jiu Jitsu classes are from age 6-16 years. Students learn the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu while developing physical skills, mental focus and self-confidence, alongside valuable life skills that can benefit them both on and off the mat.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Coast Academy T-shirt / Rash Guard,  Shorts / Black Leggings, Coast Academy Gi (Kimono) Belt for grading.

Adult Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals

For students (over the age of 16) beginning their Jiu-Jitsu journey. Students learn the fundamentals and basic techniques of BJJ. Class structure is a warm-up, a lesson in technique and partner training to practice the technique from the lesson.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Coast Academy Rash Guard,  Shorts / Black Leggings, Gi Uniform, Belt for grading.
