Practical Gradings for Kids are held twice a year and are compulsory for all Mini Martial, Junior & Youth Jiu Jitsu students. Rather than demonstrating techniques individually at the end of each term, students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a practical tournament setting with their teammates. This creates a fun, supportive environment where students can test their skills in live matches.

Open to students from Albany, Silverdale, Warkworth, Coast Academies & HBCMMA.

📅 INHOUSE APPROXIMATE TIMINGS

• Mini Martials: 8am – 9:30am
  No Gi uniform / no belt
• Junior BJJ: 9:30am – 12pm
  Full Gi uniform and belt required
• Youth BJJ: 12pm – 3pm
  Full Gi uniform and belt required

⏰ BRACKET & START TIMES

• The session times above are general time windows only. Your child’s individual match/start time will NOT be confirmed until the brackets have been created.
• Brackets will be finalised by Friday, after all registrations have been received.
• Once your child’s bracket is live on Smoothcomp, you will be able to see their more accurate start time.
• Please continue checking Smoothcomp regularly, as bracket times may change.
• Students must weigh in 30 MINUTES before the start time of THEIR individual bracket.
• Please do not arrive based solely on the overall session start time. Check your child’s Smoothcomp bracket for their specific time.

💥 IMPORTANT REMINDERS

• Please make sure you register as soon as possible.
• Once registration closes and the brackets have been created, check Smoothcomp again on Friday for updates to your child’s bracket and start time.
• If your child is late and misses their allocated bracket time, unfortunately we will not be able to delay the match. The match will be declared a walkover in favour of their teammate.
• Registrations CLOSE THURSDAY MIDNIGHT!
